8th annual Kent Is Getting Older adventure

Spring is approaching, the weather is getting warm, and I am getting the wanderlust.

Besides, I turn older on March 31, and I’ve gotten in the habit of taking that day off and going somewhere I’ve never gone before.

Since some of you have expressed interest in hiking with me sometime, consider this an invitation to come hiking to the top of Buckman Mesa next Saturday, March 18. Yeah, I know, that’s two weeks before my birthday, but all the closer weekends will not work nearly as well for me.

Buckman Mesa is the mesa to the northeast of the White Rock overlook, across the canyon and with a big knob on top. There’s a fairly popular hiking trail to the top from Buckman Road, but I’ve never hiked it and I’m a touch leery of hiking it alone. Would appreciate some hiking partners.
