Spring

To be sure, this is one of the drier, sunnier corners of my yard, and much of the rest still has snow on the ground. Anyway, most of the forest roads in the Jemez won’t open until April 15, and the whole area still still muddy where it isn’t snowy.

Which is too bad. Because I have a looong list of planned wanderlusts for the coming season, but I’m looking at shoulder surgery for a torn rotator cuff, which may have me out of the wanderlusting business for an extended period. At the moment, it hurts just to drive a car.
